Not a problem until fate puts Eagen's true mate directly in his path in the form the mysterious thief known as the Ghost, because while he/she has never been seen things just walk away without a trace. The true ghose one Clara a meer human/woman who has managed to stay in the wilds for 6 years and is adept at borrowing what she needs. She is not a thief as everything she borrows she records in her journals and plans to pay for everything one day. Unfortunately she get careless and runs into Eagan in his kitchen one night during a foray to get supplies and all bets are off. Eagan knows who she is the minute he sees her and even with the pledge of no mates he determined to have her.

You will have to read this one to fine out how it goes. I can tell you it is a wonderful, fun story and well worth the time to read it.

Overall this series is a quick and light read. I definitely enjoyed this book, it's written with a great sense of humor. While the premise is so-so these are books to pick up if you have a little time and are in the mood for a few laughs and a happy ending. 💕🐺
Although, I enjoyed this book, I felt that the beginning was very slow. There was too much about Clara living in the woods. The ending was not what I expected. I don't know if that was the end or not. I love books in a series, but I prefer it if they can also stand alone.
Like all of Ms. Jameson's books, this story is sweet and endearing. Eagan and Clara's story will pull at your heart and keep you wanting more kitty love! I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store for the remainder of this series. Great job, Ms. Jameson
Eagan the chef for his clan of shifters wants a mate badly, although it's been banded by their leader. He wants someone to hold during the lonely nights. He finds it in a thief named Clara. Clara has been living off the grid for six years because of a tragedy that happened in her family. When the reason is stated, it's actually a stupid excuse and doesn't make sense. And she abandoned her sister and nieces / nephews for her own selfish reason. Clara is portrayed as a dirty, unkempt, unclean person and I'm not sure what exactly attracted Eagan, maybe desperation.
Not that there was much actual shifting going on, but there was romance. I actually enjoyed the prequel book better than this book. This one felt like a partial installment--not much world building, not much action or suspense, and not much character development.

But I do enjoy sexy cat shifter stories, and this one wasn't bad. I guess that I just wanted more.
I love this book! Poor Clara has had to survive the loss of her beliefs and her lifestyle in one night through the actions of someone else. Eagan steps up to be the man his mate didn’t know she needed and he wasn’t sure he could be. The love this clan feels for each other is one that we all wish we can find. Even when they are pushing against each other it is with the best of intentions. I hope we get to see Magic find his true mate and a love to right the wrongs of his past next.
I loved this romance. Both main characters are wonderful.
I love the premise the author based the stories on. The cat shifters have always lived as though the males don't have to be faithful. That is awful for the females, disheartening, and one time it caused a female mate to suicide. Because of that and the unhappiness a group of werecats saw in their mothers and other females, a clan formed of werecats that vowed never to mate.
Recently, one of the male werecats mated a human woman and they are happy and faithful. But the clan is still fearful of the horrors of the early family lives happening again. Our hero meets a female human and knows she is the one for him. She is quite a character and very fun to read about. She has been living in the forest as a hermit for years. When she needs something, she steals it--but she doesn't take much. She takes some things from the werecat clan, and now they are watching for her. The one who finds her falls in love. Great romance.
